My husband and I traveled to Florida early this year. We camped at Florida State Parks and a few RV parks (because the state parks were full). It does seem like reservations for the oceanside Florida State Parks are hard to get.
The window for putting in your reservation is 11 months out and if you are not on the computer at 8:00 AM on the day the window starts, you probably won't get a site at the Florida Keys state parks and there are a few others too that are very difficult to get.
Our destinations this year were Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Jupiter, Key Largo, Key West, Disney's Ft. Wilderness Campground and Fort Desoto near St. Petersburg. We had a great time. Here are some of the photos from our trip.
